SPREAD HOPE, END HUNGER!

Philabundance is more than just a charity; it's a lifeline for countless individuals and families, providing not only food but also a sense of security and dignity to those who need it most. Their unwavering dedication inspires us every day, and we're proud to stand with them in the fight against hunger.

A TASTE OF KINDNESS!

HEAL THE HUNGRY!

It is heartbreaking when someone must make the impossible decision between buying food or medicine, lunch or a bus pass, or heat or sustenance. This is the grim reality that many of our neighbors face on a daily basis, and it has a particularly harsh impact during these trying times. We cannot be complacent in the face of this issue, and neither can our team at McHugh Insurance. That is why we are joining forces with Philabundance to assist in their mission of Ending Hunger For Good.

ENDING HUNGER FOR GOOD!

We cannot sleep well at night knowing that this is an issue our community faces during the holiday season, and we hope you feel the same way. This is why we here at McHugh Insurance are teaming up with Philabundance to help them fulfill their goal of Ending Hunger For Good. For more than 35 years, Philabundance has provided emergency food and services for those facing food insecurity in five Pennsylvania and four New Jersey counties.

PROTECT YOURSELF AND THE ONES YOU LOVE!

Fighting a severe illness like cancer shouldn't be taken lightly. When first diagnosed, it can be difficult to process the news, and you may feel like your world has turned upside down. And thousands of people in Philadelphia struggle daily to cope with such illnesses.

Assisting Philadelphians with Serious Diseases

Many of you have talked with our office manager Eric. When his mother was struggling with breast cancer, MANNA provided custom tailored meals that helped her stay in the fight, so our agency knows first hand how important proper nutrition is for those facing difficult diseases.

Fight Against Violence

Women Against Abuse exists to show these victims they are not just a statistic. Over the years, mentors at the organization have created support and a network of resources designed to develop meaningful relationships that encourage victims of abuse to achieve their personal goals. Since its inception, the noble efforts of this organization have touched the lives of 11,500 adults and children in Philadelphia through direct life-saving services, community education, prevention, and advocacy.

Simon’s Spirit Living On

While he was robbed of innocent life, his spirit lives on, reincarnated as a hopeful cause that was born out of this situation called Simon’s Heart. This organization is dedicated to a future in which parents and communities don’t lose children to detectable and treatable heart conditions. They do this by funding research in the field, educating families, providing free student heart screenings, and much more.

Where Healing Begins

MANNA is a non-profit committed to providing nourishment, hope, and healing to individuals in the Greater Philadelphia area. It empowers people to enhance their health and quality of life by offering medically tailored meals and nutrition education. Since its founding in 1990, volunteers have worked diligently to provide meals and counseling at no cost to our community's most vulnerable neighbors, using love as the secret ingredient to nourishment. Through their efforts, they’ve improved the lives of countless individuals in need of proper nutritional meals.

Philadelphia’s PAWS-ome Pets Need Our Help!

PAWS has made it their mission to save our community’s homeless and at-risk pets by providing “affordable, basic veterinary care for pet owners and rescue organizations that cannot otherwise access it”. This dedicated organization has three no-kill shelters, a foster care network, and hosts special events that are focused on finding fur-ever homes for countless animals every year.

Restoring Faith and Support in Our Community

In January 2019, the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness reported that there were about 13,199 people experiencing homelessness in Pennsylvania. These individuals that are struggling with homelessness often have increased feelings of isolation and loss of self-esteem, are at higher risk of drug dependency, and deal with physical or mental health problems.

A Philabundance of Food to Those In Need

Did you know that 1 in 5 people in Philadelphia are struggling with food insecurity and hunger? That’s nearly 20% of our community - our neighbors and friends - that are going hungry in their everyday lives. This staggering percentage is far too high and there must be something done about it.
